I met Christina and Jay about a year ago as they were starting their wedding planning. We had an awesome time shooting their engagement photos early last spring.
I just knew when I met these two that we were going to have a blast together. I was also so excited to shoot at Union Horse Distillery (Formerly Dark Horse Distillery) in Lenexa KS for the first time. This place really lived up to expectations. It has such a cool vibe and wonderful spaces to utilize on a wedding day. Also, their bridal suite is Spectacular! So much wonderful light and lots of room to spread out and get ready! There is space for ceremony and reception at this venue, as well as an outside patio.
Jay and Christina had a beautiful intimate ceremony and we went right into drinks and dinner! One of my favorite parts of the reception was the game they played with their guests…. kind of like a musical chairs meets scavenger hunt. It was hilarious and the guests had such a good time with it! I love it when couples come up with interesting new ideas for their day! The dance floor was full all night and we really didn’t even want to leave!
